my mom being a Thai and my frequent trips to Thailand have taught me 'tooti_phooti' Thai!! this trip to Thailand, i was determined on practicing Thai.
my experiences:
i wanted to call an elder girl..
phee kha(instead of phi kha)... translated-(miss. scary)
i want sprite- aaon sphaeet- my mistake-aaoon sphaee-(i wnt in laws)
wanted to go for my bath, so asked a maid- pae aap naam mae? -will you come bathe with me.. and the funny part is the girl i asked this said yes!!!
its so hot- laun maak- all i said was - lau maak- ur so handsome...
oh and then there was this time wen i was shoppin and i asked d shopkeeper,"ani thoraee?" (how much) and she replied,bauk aaon tharae. (say want hoaoo much) so i said in her style haooo much(aaooon tharae)??
