when i was a lil girl

When I was a little girl.. In class 1 or 2, we started writing paragraphs in school. The funny thing was at that time we had to LEARN about our favourite sport, our favourite pastime and what we wanted, for our teachers or parents would choose that for us by helping us write and mug up.
I had an English exam and was taught about my pet, a puppy. I didn’t have a pet back then.. and I wanted a tortoise. I was always taught about a puppy being my pet, named Bruno..
“but mom, I don’t have a pet”
“you have to write something, so why not write about a puppy you can have someday”
“I don’t want a puppy. I want a tortoise. I will write about that”
“sweetie, tortoise will be difficult for you to write about. Its getting late, revise this fast”

The next day.. English exam…

I have a pet puppy..
(ohhh.. tortoises are so cute…..)
His name is Bruno(what would a tortoise be named?)
….
Erase… erase……

I have a pet tortois. His name is …… rudolff. He is very cute. He is brown and green. He does not bark. He does not catch a ball when I throw it.. Throw? Through? Erase.. through it..
He loves me. I love him very much. Mumma papa love him. My sister loves him too. He is very loving.(oh.. I need one more sentence).. He is lovable.

Alright!! I didn’t get good marks in that one!! But it still makes me so happy, much more than any amount of marks could, that I wrote my heart out! My pet tortoise… Even if I couldn’t spell it correctly!!
